I've been doing research on software that I can use for maintaining the books for The League. The easy choice is an off-the-shelf accounting package that everyone and their brother can use, but I drank the proverbial Kool-Aid on open source. So the search began.
I've tried GnuCash, TurboCash, and one free software that wasn't open source, but I figured I'd give it a shot. It ended up also not being free as it required a payment later to keep access to all the bits. They are all nice small packages that are good for keeping track of money, but I really wanted something that could grow the company. I found one or two that were full fledge packages that would ahve a nice start-up cost--Open Source is not always free.
But now I'm looking for more than just myself; word got around that I know stuff like this. So I pulled out my "notes" on the subject and stumbled along this software.
I'm going to try it out and see what I think.
